Greetings. It has been brought to my attention that there are currently a number of vicious rumours circulating. My wish is for this insanity to stop.

There are those who claim that it was not me who invented the snirg, that it was in fact they themselves who performed this remarkable feat. I dispute this, as do my irc logs. The rumours of this sort that are going round are just that - please never doubt my sincerity when I say that I am the creator of the Snirg, the original Snirger, and the enlightener of those who have not yet been introduced to the Snirg.

To say the least, I find it an insult to my integrity that certain individuals choose to attempt to perpetuate this blatant denial of truth. I have no objection to others claiming honour and glory, but I do find it an immeasurably weak gesture for them to leech off that earned and deserved by another.

As you may have noticed, I have never asked someone to cease snirging. I have always been willing to share my Snirg with any who wished to join the ranks of Snirger. And despite my kindness, despite the time I have poured into Snirgism, I am hit with this.

I must say that it was an unexpected blow, and as such I was unprepared for its wrath. In all honesty, the thought had never struck me that there would be those out there who could be so blatant in stealing the ideas of another - or at least, not such an idea as the Snirg, and not without being provoked.

If this was done as a plan for vengeance, to equal the tally or something of the sort, then I feel the need to ask what I could have done to have caused someone to lash out in such a dishonourable way. Even if it was done as a strike-back, I will not apologise. First I must be informed of exactly what it was that I did. If I see my fault, then perhaps I shall give out the due apology; however, suffice it to say that the names of those involved have, in my mind, been suitably blackened by the unnecessary actions taken. Honour has been sacrificed for whatever reason, and it takes more than an apology to rectify many situations.

To those who realise the truth of this situation and stand by their beliefs, you have my thanks. I find it is an honour to call you friends.
